iNovaDrive Host Insurance Reimbursement Program

Helping Hosts manage insurance costs.

iNovaDrive does not provide blanket insurance coverage. Hosts are required to maintain their own adequate insurance for peer‑to‑peer vehicle sharing. To support our Hosts, we offer an Insurance Reimbursement incentive to eligible Hosts who actively participate on the platform.

1. Insurance Requirements – Mandatory

Before listing a vehicle on iNovaDrive, every Host must:

  • Have a valid insurance policy that includes:
    • At minimum $1,000,000 CAD third‑party liability.
    • Collision and comprehensive coverage.
    • The appropriate peer‑to‑peer rental vehicle use endorsement (or equivalent rate class) as required by ICBC or the Host’s insurer, allowing anyone authorised by the platform to drive the vehicle during a booking.
  • Confirm with their Autoplan broker or insurance provider that the vehicle is properly insured for commercial use / peer‑to‑peer sharing.
  • Provide proof of such insurance upon request by iNovaDrive.
Important: iNovaDrive does not provide, sell, or broker insurance. The Host’s own insurance policy is the primary source of coverage for any incident during a booking. Failure to maintain the required insurance may result in immediate removal from the platform and loss of eligibility for any incentive program.

2. Insurance Reimbursement Incentive

To help offset the cost of maintaining the required insurance, iNovaDrive offers a recurring Insurance Reimbursement payment to Hosts who meet the following conditions:

  • The Host must have completed the one‑time Host Welcome Bonus (i.e. completed 20 successful bookings) OR have been a Host in good standing for at least 6 months and completed 10 successful bookings.
  • The Host must maintain the required insurance coverage at all times while participating in the program.
  • The Host must continue to meet all platform standards and policies.

Once eligible, the Host will receive an Insurance Reimbursement payment after every 10 successful bookings completed thereafter. The amount of each reimbursement is set by iNovaDrive and may be adjusted. Typically, the reimbursement is intended to cover a portion of the Host’s insurance premium for the corresponding period.

3. Payment and Verification

Reimbursement payments are processed through the Host’s regular payout method. iNovaDrive may require the Host to submit proof of current insurance (e.g. a copy of the declaration page or endorsement) before a reimbursement is paid. Payments are made within 30 days after the qualifying milestone and verification are complete.

4. Cancellation and Program Changes

iNovaDrive may modify or cancel this program at any time. If the program is cancelled, any reimbursement already earned but not yet paid will be paid, but no future reimbursements will be earned. Hosts will be notified of material changes through the platform or by email.

5. No Guarantee of Coverage or Reimbursement

This program is an incentive only. It does not alter or supplement the Host’s own insurance policy. iNovaDrive makes no guarantee that the reimbursement will fully cover the Host’s insurance costs, nor does it guarantee that the Host will receive any bookings.
